Portola Railroad Days is back with its annual community festival celebrating Portola’s rich history as a railroad town!
The four day event—held in and around the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola—provides plenty of family entertainment. We hope that you will join us.
We are pleased to announce the arrival of The Feather River Express, Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at the W.P.R.R. Museum. The special train tour from Emeryville to Portola up the Feather River Canyon will be here to help Portola celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the first passenger train over the Western Pacific Railway!
Portola is a small mountain town, nestled 4,500 feet up amongst towering evergreens and fresh mountain streams and lakes. Portola and the surrounding community boast some of the best fishing, camping, hiking, biking and golfing in Northern California!
While you are here, we hope that you will visit the rest of our community. Graeagle will be having its annual Arts and Crafts Show the same weekend. There is also a spectacular Fresian Horse Show and Event at the famous Corner Barn right there at the corner of highways 89 and 70.
We have so much for you to do, you won’t want to leave! So why not stay awhile, and discover one of Northern California’s most spectacular playgrounds? |
